Ilisapi Uuttuvak was incredibly smart, aware, intelligent, knowledgeable and beautiful Inuk woman who was from Pond Inlet, Nunavut. When Ilisapi spoke, she had the incredible ability to open your mind to insightful yet mind shifting ideas. She is truly missed but this grant is here to continue her legacy in helping Inuit with sewing and counselling as these were areas in which she was extremely gifted. May we remember her forever.
