Tuurngaaluk Miqqusaaq was a businessman ahead of his time in Pond Inlet and it was inspiring to see what he accomplished in his lifetime. Tuurngaaluk not only worked extremely hard to provide for his family, but he also went above and beyond to ensure Inuit in Nunavut had employment, Inuit were support and had advocacy when needed on the work front. It is truly admirable the levels of success Tuurngaaluk reached on the business front and we hope with this grant we will be able to help future business owners with his type of triumph! Although we can no longer ask him advise, we can use his experience to grow in the future!
